Obhack:
Boss wanted a firewall/filter put in place - but also wanted
legit users to be able to directly access the server from outside the
local LAN. Solution - a telnetd replacement on the filter machine which
takes a login and password, authenticates via tacacsd on the server and
opens a line for their IP address to pass through the filter. Not
entirely secure - but it keeps the boss happy and it works after a fashion
(just hope they aren't coming in from a large multi-user machine)
