Yep, as a tin user I can confirm it works.

OBHack: setting up a script that makes it so I can just type

tin n

if I want to run the local newsserver, and tin h newservername for another...

The clever part is that it automatically worked out a name to use for the
.newsrc file by sedding around with the newsserver name...
